Kerfala Cissoko’s early goal was the only goal of the game in the 1-0 victory against Varbergs BoIS. Despite a heavy pressure from the guests for an equaliser, we managed to win and take three very important and well-needed points. This means that Dalkurd has got six victories in the last eight games and is in extremity involved in the race for a promotion to Allsvenskan. On Sunday, another tough game awaits us in the away game against Västerås SK. Can Dalkurd hold on to the good run?
During the week, Ferhad Ayaz has been sold to Degerfors IF as is known. One player who will miss the game on Sunday is midfielder Rawez Lawan, who is suspended after getting his third yellow card against Varberg. Otherwise, all Dalkurd players are available for the game.
Västerås will miss midfielder Jonas Hellgren and forward Brian Span because of suspension. The team played their last game away against Jönköpings Södra on Tuesday, which means they have had shorter rest than us for Sunday’s game. In that game, Västerås’ defender Boris Ljevar got injured and is doubtful for Sunday’s game.
Dalkurd and Västerås played against each other, as late as a month ago at Gavlevallen. After a 1-1 result at the half time break, Västerås managed to score five goals in the second half and win by 6-1. Hopefully, there will not be a replay of that game and despite the VSK victory in the latest game, Dalkurd has the upper hand historically between the two teams. In a total of eleven competitive games, Dalkurd has seven victories while Västerås has won two games.
