On a sun-drenched Tele2 Arena in southern Stockholm, Dalkurd took on the newly appointed Swedish Cup Champions Djurgårdens IF on Sunday. The swelter may have been a contributing factor to the low tempo in the beginning of the game. But after 13 minutes of play, Simon Strand tried from distance but the ball went wide. A bit later, Rewan Amin served Ferhad Ayaz with a pass. The Dalkurd winger played the ball in to Oliver Berg who was free with Andreas Isaksson, who could save the shot from the midfielder.

Djurgården had a great chance to score a couple of minutes later but Jacob Une Larsson’s header went over the bar. Just after, Yukiya Sugita passed Ayaz who got pass the defenders but he got a push from Marcus Danielsson when he was about to finish so his shot went over the bar. Djurgården started the second half better. Tinotenda Kadewere finished off a shot that went on to the post. Just a minute later, Djurgården scored. Felix Beijmo passed the ball in deep to Kadewere, who scored from close range.

Dalkurd had difficulties to score after the goal and Djurgården defended themselves well. In the last minutes of the game, Yukiya Sugita dribbled pass a defender on the left side and crossed the ball in to the penalty area. Younes Bnou Marzouk met the ball with his head but sent it wide off the far post. Djurgården won the game, 1-0 and Dalkurd will have to recharge for the next game against IFK Norrköping on Saturday.
