Dalkurd had the chance to win the league when Trelleborg was visited in the last round of Superettan. But to win the league, Dalkurd needed to win the game, and Brommapojkarna at the same time lose points in their home game against Gefle. Dalkurd started the game in a good way and Yukiya Sugita tested the Trelleborg goalkeeper Marko Johansson, after a couple of minutes. But the goalkeeper made a great save on the finish from the Japanese player. It was also Sugita who gave Dalkurd the lead after 12 minutes of play. A long pass from Kebba Ceesay was managed by Andrew Stadler in the best way, when he played Sugita free. The goalkeeper got his fingers on the ball on the finish from the Japanese player, but couldn’t prevent the ball from going into the net.

The home team got two great chances to equalise in within a few minutes. Dino Islamovic first got a good chance inside the penalty area, but got disrupted by Henrik Löfkvist and the finish went wide. Three minutes later it was time again for Islamovic, when he was served in front of goal, but the attacker missed the open net and his shot went over the bar. The game went into a lull, halfway through the first half. But just before the half time break, Rawez Lawan had a great chance to increase Dalkurd’s lead to 2-0. A low cross reached the midfielder, who however couldn’t control the ball in front of the goal and the Trelleborg defence could clear the ball. Dalkurd however still had the lead with 1-0 at the half time break.

The second half barely started when Dalkurd doubled the lead. After a nice attack, the ball reached Stadler, who was alone with the goalkeeper. His finish was directed via the finger tips of the goalkeeper, on to the post. But the Dalkurd attacker could hammer the ball into the net on his own rebound, to make it 2-0. Islamovic made it 1-2 in the 62nd minute. Frank Pettersson saved a header at first, but the rebound ended up at Islamovic, whose first finish was saved by the Dalkurd goalkeeper. But Islamovic could score on the rebound on the finish. The home team catched hold of the game and pushed forward to grab an equaliser and they managed to do it. In the 84th minute, Alexander Blomqvist could head the ball into the net, after a corner and make it 2-2. 16 year old Dalkurd talent, Pontus Jonsson, was subbed-in in the last minutes of the game. However, there were no more goals in the game and it ended with a draw, 2-2.
